Technical Support Specialist

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for providing technical support in a timely, consistent and courteous manner to all customers in the operation of supported systems.
  2. Responsible for diagnosing/resolving problems through both questioning techniques and through the use of remote diagnostics.
  3. Assists by giving correct resolutions in a clear, concise and courteous manner.
  4. Interprets error messages from system software or application programs; initiates required actions.
  5. Responsible for the installation of new software releases
  6. Installs, tests, monitors, upgrades, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems
  7. Escalates unresolved interactions to second level support and follows through to completion.
  8. Assist with network troubleshooting and equipment upgrades.
  9. Records all required communication relating to questions/problems
  10. Assists in training users in the operation of supported systems
  11. Works under general supervision and reports to manager.
  12. Other duties as assigned based on Department workload.

Experience: 2+ years of direct involvement with computer systems troubleshooting and repairs.  Customer service experience preferred.

Mark Ann Industries, located in Worthington PA, is currently hiring full time Class A and B CDL Drivers. Individuals must be experienced driving tri – axle dump or tractor trailer. Dry bulk tanker experience is preferred.  Local routes, drivers return home daily.

Armstrong Cement, located in Cabot, PA, is currently searching for full-time Laborers and Industrial Electricians to join their team.

Laborer Requirements / Education / Experience

  • Previous work experience in a heavy industrial and/or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Must be able to work from elevated heights, and uneven surfaces performing manual labor.

Availability to work any shift any day as well as overtime as required.

Electrician Requirements / Education / Experience

  • Certification, degree or Apprenticeship program or equivalent in training preferred.

Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Add new knowledge for personal and organizational growth and proactively sharing knowledge with others. As well, you will have the chance to ensure quality, while looking for ways to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of the organization's systems, processes and tools. This role will work Monday thru Friday, 2:45pm to 10:45pm.

You are responsible for

  • Assembling and packaging various Respironic medical devices in an ISO and FDA regulated environment.
  • Operating all relevant machinery, tools and equipment; undertake standard and complex production tasks safely and in accordance with instructions.
  • Setting up or adjusting equipment according to manufacturing specifications
  • Monitoring the quality of output to identify, discard or re-manufacture faulty products.
  • Maintaining accurate daily production records so that manufacturing performance can be analyzed.
  • Working within the Demand Flow Technology® (DFT) system to produce quality products with minimal assembly and paperwork errors.
  • Be a team player in order to work flexibly within any area of assembly
  • Completing departmental procedures and administrative activities including accurate completion of Device History Records, inventory control processes (Kanban, Materials Movement forms, time tickets, pick lists, etc), lot tracking scrap reporting, sequence cards and other administrative duties.
  • The ability to work overtime is an essential function of this 2nd shift position.

You are a part of

The second shift manufacturing team in our New Kensington location, who is responsible for assembling and packaging various Philips respironic medical devices.


To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • High School Diploma or GED (required).
  • Experience in manufacturing, service or assembly, in a regulated environment.
  • Physical Requirements; this position requires the ability to move on a continuous basis in order to efficiently get to other work areas, frequent lifting up to 15 pounds, occasional lifting up to 40 pounds, ability to reach and ability to use fine manipulation skills.
  • The ability to read, speak and understand the English language is required in order to interpret the work instructions, procedures necessary to perform work tasks and comprehend the documents that comprise our Quality System, in order to comply with FDA regulations.
  • Manual dexterity and the ability to work productively on a repetitive basis is required.
  • Strong knowledge and proven execution of Philips ‘Good Manufacturing Practices.

Preferred qualifications: Minimum five (5) years’ management/supervisory recent work experience in the related industry preferred. Previous teaching experience a plus, but not required.
