Practical nurses are employed in a variety of health care settings. This includes physician offices, schools, hospitals, home health agencies, long-term care and outpatient facilities. Nurses at all levels continue to be in demand. “Employment of Licensed Practical Nurses is expected to grow 14 percent between 2006 and 2016 faster than average for all occupations, in response to the long-term care needs of an increasing elderly population and the general increase in demand for health care services.”*
