As we have approached decisions throughout this school year, our goal continues to be to maximize in-person instruction for the benefit of all students and maintain a continuity of education and learning. However, due to the recent weather events, we have reached our limit on snow day cancellations and make-up days. Therefore, for the remainder of the 2021-2022 school year, when there is a weather cancellation, Lenape Tech will be utilizing Remote Learning. This decision was made so that we preserve a limited Spring Break for all students to reset and recharge to complete the many yearend tasks. While not ideal, this switch to Remote Learning on weather cancellations will prevent the need to extend the school year as we know our graduates will be eager to start their careers and enter the workforce directly after graduation.
Changes to the school calendar
• Tuesday February 22nd is a make-up day for Tuesday January 18th
• Friday March 25th is a make-up day for Thursday February 3rd
• Thursday April 14th is a make-up day for Friday February 4th
Spring Break will be Friday April 15th through Monday April 18th
Included with this letter are directions and expectations for students on Remote Learning Days. Should you have questions or concerns on your student being able to access or complete any of the school work, please contact Mr. Gurski, Assistant Director/Principal at gursjas@mylenape.net or by calling the main office at 724-763-7116
We appreciate your continued flexibility and understanding as we prepare for any additional inclement weather cancellations and our efforts to provide a meaningful education with limited disruptions to our students and families.
