Construction Warehouse / Yard Associate – Full Time, benefits available


Essential Duties:  Performers any combination of the following duties at a construction warehouse /yard, usually working in and around heavy equipment, by transferring from one task to another where demands require worker with varied experience and ability to work without close supervision: organizing, loading and unloading trucks and trailers, general maintenance of facility.

Normally Expected Education and/or Practical Experience:

Education:  High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Reading, Writing, and Communication Skills:  Must be able to effectively communicate verbally with co-workers and work with others in a positive manner. Ability to read safety 

rules and instructions in the use and maintenance of equipment and tools.

Problem Solving: Must be able to follow specific instructions; work within standards of accuracy; repeat tasks of short duration according to set procedures.

Other: Must adhere to all safety regulations and procedures and work harmoniously and cooperatively with others at all times.

Physical Demands: Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. Considerable time spent standing; Job requires wearing common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, and hard hats; Considerable time spent using hands to handle control or feel objects, tools or controls.  Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequently required to talk or hear. Occasionally required to sit.  Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.  Vision abilities required include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions: Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions; extreme cold and heat, wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high and/or precarious places; exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and vibration; loud working environment.

Optical Technician, Night Shift Direct Hire Role

Job Description Summary

Optical Technician: Performs various functions associated with fabrication of optical components such as profiling, cutting, milling, grinding, beveling, blocking, polishing, edging, cleaning and testing using appropriate machines and equipment. Uses a variety of metrology and inspection tools to test and inspect optical components for accuracy and quality. Required to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings. Follows appropriate safety and equipment maintenance procedures. May build or modify equipment used to test precision options and, at higher levels, lead others in their use.

Optics Fabrication Technician - Night shift, 10pm-6:30am M-F. Full time direct hire opportunity with medical, dental, 401K matching, vacation pay and more.

FLIR is seeking an Optics Fabrication technician. The role will include Diamond Turning,  CNC, Conventional Polishing, and MRF. 

New hire will train on day shift and then move to night shift.

Required: High school diploma or equivalent experience; Ability to handle delicate parts and assist with the cleaning and packing of parts and material; Ability to visually inspect optical components for microscopic defects; Basic Math Skills; Ability to lift 20 lbs. occasionally; Ability to use basic shop tools; Ability to grip, grasp, and work with hands on product repetitively. Previous optics experience and or clean room experience a plus. Ability to follow direction and coaching from others, Minimal supervision required.

ADULT EDUCATION INSTRUCTOR: Part-time/casual positions available immediately in Lenape’s Adult Education Department in the following disciplines:

The Adult Education Program has a current opening for a part-time evening instructor for our Fundamentals of HVACR course.  The course meets one evening a week for 10 weeks (twice a year). A degree is not necessary but candidates must have an enthusiasm for their subject and a desire to share their expertise. Certifications in your field are a plus! A minimum of three years’ experience working in the subject area, good communication skills, and good organizational skills are required. The hourly rate is competitive.
