Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Safety Inspection Mechanic training course instructs participants to inspect motor vehicles under the Vehicle Equipment and Inspection Regulations. Both written and hands-on tactile examinations must be passed for successful completion of the course. All materials are provided. Student is responsible to bring writing utensil, driver's license, and book (received upon registration) to class each night. Pre-registration is required.
A score of 70% is required on written exams to proceed to the category tactile test(s). If the baseline test is failed, the student may retake the entire course on the next offered date at the cost of $99.00. If the category 1 test is failed there will be a $35 re-test fee. If the tactile is failed there is a $50.00 re-test fee. The tactile test will be scheduled individually between the instructor and the student. Must hold valid driver’s license and must be at least 18 years of age.

October 7-21, 2019 Monday & Wednesday Nights 5:30-9:30pm
December 2-16, 2019 Monday & Wednesday Nights 5:30-9:30pm

PLEASE NOTE: Those that hold an IID or Occupational Limited driver's license are ineligible for this class.
