Lenape Technical School and the Pennsylvania Department of Education require successful candidates complete the following pre-employment clearances and certifications. Clearances must be less than one year old at the time of hire.
All employment offers are also contingent on the candidate completing a pre-employment post-offer drug test, and the School Personnel Health Record form (including a two-step TB test) being signed and dated by a physician within three months prior to start date.
· Act 34 – Pennsylvania Access to Criminal History
o $22 fee for this clearance
· Act 114 – Federal Bureau of Investigation (Fingerprinting)
§ Pre-enrollment is mandatory and can be completed online or over the phone (Monday-Friday 8am-6pm EST by calling 1-844-321-1101). Pre-Enroll Online
§ When enrolling online, use code 1KG6NX for Lenape Technical School. Please check the service code at the top of the screen. If the code is incorrect, the incorrect application type will be shown. You MUST select “Back to Home” and begin the process again if this happens. Otherwise, you will have to start the process over and pay the fee for the background check again.
§ $22.60 covers the fingerprinting service and provides the applicant with an unofficial copy of the Criminal History Record. Major credit cards, money orders, and cashier’s checks payable to “MorphoTrust” will be accepted on site. Cash and personal checks will not be accepted.
o Fingerprinting Locations:
§ After registration, the applicant proceeds to the fingerprinting site of their choice. Locations/Days/Times
§ A qualified State or Federal photo ID must be provided at the time of fingerprinting. After identity is established, all fingers are scanned to complete the process.
o Report Access:
§ Applicants must provide Lenape with the receipt given after fingerprint capture. If the receipt is lost, the applicant may visit the background check website and check the status of their file by providing alternate personal information. Retrieve Lost Information
· Act 151 – Pennsylvania Child Abuse History
o $13 fee for this clearance
· Act 168 – Sexual Misconduct/Abuse
o A separate form must be completed by the applicant’s current employer, all former employers that were school entities, and all former employers where the applicant was employed in a position where he/she had direct contact with children.
The following items must be completed after acceptance of employment.
· Act 126 – Mandated Reporter Training: Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse
o There is no fee for this training. Please print and submit certificate of completion.
