Brian McNany - Building Construction Technology Instructor

  • Mr. McNany began his career in the construction trades in 1986 and has worked in both residentail and commercial industries. In 1993, Mr. McNany accepted a position with the Butler County Area Vocational-Technical School where he taught Building Constructio  Occupations. During his tenure with BCAVTS, Mr. McNany earned his degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. During this time, Mr. McNany also taught a specialty program for CCAC and Duquesne Light employees. Mr. McNany has developed State level competitions for Skills U.S.A. and National Testing materials for NOCTI.


  • Mr. McNany, a student of the Clarion County Career Center, accepted a position with CCCC in 2009 where he taught the Building Construction Technology program. During his tenure with CCCC, Mr. McNany was instrumental in acquiring the school's accredication with the National Home Builders Association and developed a program with a National Home Builder, Commodore Homes Corporation where trade professionals were brought in to work with the students to show them advanced techniques and trade specific skills. Upon graduation, many of these students were offered positins within the Commodore Homes organization.


  • Mr. McNany, in 2015, accepted a position at the Lenape Tech as the new Environmental Controls Technology instructor. In 2016 Mr. McNany was charged with developing a new program called Building Construction Technology and is currently restructuring the program to include Carpentry, Electrical,Plumbing, Masonry and HVAC trades into the curriculum. Vast changes have already been made. Upgrades to the facillity, including changes to the classroom and shop areas as well as the addition of a new building that features Solar Energy training are in the works with much more to come. Mr. McNany has also owned and operated his own trade related business since 1991 and continues to use his daily experience in the "real world" as a means to stay current with the ever changing construction industry.
